Information for Parents/Carers

In the event of adverse weather (e.g. snow), the Headteacher will make a decision whether it is safe for the academy to open, or to have a delayed start or closure. 

There are many contributing factors, including health & safety, which need to be taken into consideration before a final decision is made. 

You will be notified by 7.30am if the decision has been made, to have a delayed start or closure.  You will not be notified if the academy is to remain open as normal. 
In the event of a delayed start or closure, parents and carers will be notified using the communication methods below:

  • Text messages will be sent to parents and carers.
  • A message will be displayed on the academy’s website.
  • Messages will be posted on the academy’s Facebook and Twitter pages.

Please do not contact the academy to query whether the academy is open/closed.

As stated previously, you will NOT BE notified if the academy is to remain open as normal.
