At Hollingworth Academy we have a 4 House system that all students and staff are assigned to. In the summer of 2022, we held a democratic selection process and voted to decide on what these Houses would be called. The largest number of votes went to star constellation names, and we are proud to have the following Houses within our academy; Altair, Orion, Sirius & Pegasus.
Throughout each academic year there are numerous competitions and incentives that enable students to win RISE points for their respective houses. At the end of each year the House with the most RISE points will claim the prestigious House Trophy. This comes with a special House reward as well as having the trophy displayed in the academy all year with their winning colours on it.
The winners so far are:
2022/23 – Pegasus
2023/24 – Orion
Each House has both staff and student champions who are to first point of call for any student who has questions or suggestions regarding the House system. Details of these staff can be found here:
